Thanksgiving!!

I got home on Tuesday afternoon for Thanksgiving break and it's been so great to be home! The teachers decided to load the tests and projects on us right before left for break, so needless to say, I've been catching up on alot of much needed sleep. Today I was thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for and my family was one of the first things that came to my mind. For those of you who know us, you that we're a pretty weird family. But we're all close and have a blast when we're together. And for those you who think you don't have a weird family, chances are you probably have one of the weirdest ones, you're just in denial.

I've been studying through the book of Job and that is definitely a humbling book to read. One part that keeps coming back to my mind is the chapter where Job finds out that his children are dead. It says that he rent his clothes and fell on the ground and worshipped God. That was his constant mindset- worshipping God. I can't tell you how many times I've heard bad news and my first thought is how can I fix this? Worship was not just a thought process for Job, it was the very essence of his heart. He desired to make God more than enough for him everyday.

Lord, may I not only desire to know You, but to also make You the lover of my soul and my heart's desire.
