Not by Sight

I'm the type of person that likes to have everything planned and know exactly what's going on. I do this alot when it comes to my future. I plan ahead thinking that this is the way it's all going to happen. Well, the Lord has shown me many times, the past few months, that He and He alone is in control. I've noticed how easy it can be to have faith when you can "see" what will take place, but what about those times where you feel like you're walking in the dark? Situations have been taking place in my family and I've been reminded how scary it is to be completely lost. Not having any answers and not having any idea what will happen is a hard place for anyone to be. But then the Lord reminds me what faith truly is. Faith is the opposite of doubt. You may doubt in different situations, but don't doubt God. God is the substance of faith and in the times of "darkness" remember that He is in full control. God gives opportunities and opens doors in His time and in His way....you just have to wait and have faith that HE will guide you.


As I looked down the road ahead,
I take a moment to remember what He said...
The journey may seem weary and unknown,
But always remember you'll never walk alone.
I will be with you, My foot prints in the sand,
Put your trust in me, I'll hold you in my hand.
So take the first step, keep your eyes on Me,
For it is with you I will forever be.
