Another one bites the dust

I went bowling with some friends last night and discovered, in a not so graceful way, that they oil the lanes. I was going up to bowl and was concentrating on the pins in front of me, determined to hit at least one of them, when I stepped across the line, slipped on the oil and fell. It wasn't one of my finest moments but at least I can laugh at myself. If they're going to oil the lanes they should at least put up a sign or something!

Ah,yes. I must agree with David on that one. I still hope you had fun bowling. I'll have to be there next time.

Don't worry, Jenni, my Mom's done that, too (except i think that she actually went DOWN the bowling lane, so consider yourself to be very fortunate!).

Yes Jenni ... Bonnie is correct. When we were 'young' and out for an evening with our adult Sunday school class I too went skating and sliding halfway down the lane, following the ball toward the pins - with hubby behind the line thinking 'she's up! ... no, she's down!' several times before I finally came to rest with a thud on my bottom side. I think the discs in my spine were all permanently compressed that night. It was a long time before anyone in attendance could even think of 'bowling' without cracking up. Maybe you and I should make a video together :)
